I dreamt that I was in some kind of a hotel, or similar. I went looking for something, a blanket or something and I ended up going outside of the building. I had a backpack on and a purse around my front. I had a lot of things that I was buying but I didn't quite get them in the bag. And suddenly I realize that I might've been robbed. Several pockets of my backpack were open but I finally found my wallet in a more hidden pocket. I couldn't find my phone but then I did but then I didn't. I needed to call my friend who was also at the hotel but I couldn't find my phone. I couldn't find my way back to the part of the hotel where I was staying. People were unhelpful and even mean. I went to a pharmacy to ask for some paracetamol and then some ice cream but I didn't have enough hands to hold everything and the woman who charged me was very mean and ended up insulting me. When I went back to the hotel again I couldn't find my way to that part of the hotel. I was very frustrated and then I woke up.
Dreams set in hotels often symbolize transitional phases in life. They reflect feelings of uncertainty, confusion, or even temporary states of being. In your dream, the hotel represents a place where you are searching for comfort or security but are instead met with stress and chaos.
The quest for a blanket in your dream signifies a desire for warmth, comfort, and protection. It’s an indicator that you might be seeking emotional or physical security in your waking life. The fact that you ventured outside the hotel implies a need to explore beyond your current environment—perhaps a desire for new experiences or a search for something that truly satisfies you.
Carrying a backpack and a purse suggests that you are managing or carrying significant aspects of your life—responsibilities, burdens, or even emotional baggage. The idea that you had a lot of items but struggled to fit them into your bag reveals feelings of being overwhelmed or unprepared. You may be taking on too much, or you might be feeling that you’re trying to juggle various commitments without enough capacity.
Realizing that you might’ve been robbed symbolizes a fear of loss or feeling vulnerable. The open pockets of your backpack represent your worries about losing control over your possessions or, metaphorically, control over your life situation. Finding your wallet hidden in a concealed pocket indicates that, despite the chaos, you do have resources or aspects of yourself that remain intact. However, the difficulty in finding your phone signifies communication issues or a feeling of disconnect from those you rely on, like your friend at the hotel.
The unhelpful and mean people reflect potential feelings of isolation or rejection in your life, as well as a sense of needing assistance but not receiving it. The encounter at the pharmacy—where you were treated harshly—could symbolize how you feel about reaching out for help and being met with unkindness or misunderstanding from those around you.
Your frustration with not finding your way back to your hotel room suggests a struggle to regain direction in your life. It signals feelings of being lost, not just physically in the dream, but also metaphorically in terms of your life choices or personal path.
Waking up from this dream may have brought a sense of relief from the burden of these emotions. It’s a signal to take stock of your life, re-evaluate what you’re carrying with you, and consider where you find comfort and security. The dream invites you to explore your feelings of vulnerability, the need for support, and how you navigate challenges in both your external environment and your internal states.
